WHO WE ARE

We all realize that this world here is not our true home, that we have a better home waiting for us once this life is over, and that we need each other to reach it. The Hebrew writer tells us that as Christians we must “stimulate one another to love and good deeds” and that we should be “encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near” (Hebrews 10:24-25). Therefore, we’ve banded together as a group to do the things that will help us all to reach Heaven.

Understanding the Bible to be inspired by God, we look to it to instruct us in how we should live our lives to prepare for the next one. As closely as we can, we try to emulate the Christians that lived during the time of the apostles and the writings of the New Testament. We do this because we know for certain that what they did was approved by God, so if we do the same we will be as well. That’s why we have no creeds or catechisms that we adhere to, as they all did not originate until after the time of the apostles was complete. We simply look to the Bible alone as our sole source of authority and hope.  We are designated by no other name (Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian, etc) than the simple name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is Christ’s church that we were added to by God upon our salvation. We belong to no other church than the church of Christ.
If this plea for simple Christianity without extra-biblical creeds or dogma appeals to you, we would encourage you to contact us or come visit us. We would love to sit down with you and open up the Bible and learn about the story that God has put together. Will you give us a chance to show you the hope that we have of Heaven, and that you could have this same hope as well?
